The 16th Annual DHEC EPI Conference will be held May
11-12, 2010. The theme is "An Epi Odyssey", and it will be held at the
Radisson Hotel Columbia and Conference Center.

The 28th Annual APIC Palmetto Educational Conference is
scheduled for November 3-5, 2010 at the Columbia Metropolitan Conference
Center, so make your plans now to attend. More news will be forthcoming.

State HAI Prevention Plan for SC:
The South Carolina HAI Prevention Plan was finalized and approved on
December 30, 2009. Thank you to Connie Steed, Paula Guild, and Beth
Rhoton for representing APIC Palmetto in these planning meetings with
DHEC and SCHA. Through their input and the input of our 2009 Chapter
President, Nancy Lumley, and many of you, our voices were heard. The
final document can be found
